What you'll do:
As a DevOps Engineer, your role will be pivotal in supporting our client's transition to a state-of-the-art microservices application. You will work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to support agile development practices. Your expertise will be crucial in streamlining the CI/CD pipeline, managing source code repositories, building systems, deploying mechanisms in Azure DevOps, monitoring pipelines for scalability, reliability, performance, automating manual processes for efficiency, providing technical guidance on best practices, troubleshooting issues related to build failures or deployment errors.
- Design and implement Azure DevOps infrastructure and processes to support efficient software development and deployment.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines for various applications and services.
- Manage and maintain source code repositories, build systems, and deployment mechanisms in Azure DevOps.
- Monitor and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Automate manual processes and tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on Azure DevOps best practices and tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build failures, deployment errors, and other technical challenges in the Azure DevOps environment.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies and implement appropriate controls in the Azure DevOps environment.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the DevOps Engineer position brings a wealth of skills to the table. You have proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Azure services. Your proficiency in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools is unmatched. You have a strong background in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash or other relevant languages. Your understanding of version control systems, branching strategies, code review processes is solid. Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef will be considered a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Proficient in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Strong experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Bash or other relevant languages.
- Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git), branching strategies, code review processes.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes) is desirable.
- Knowledge of security best practices in the Azure environment.
