About the AWS Cloud Engineer Role:
In this role, you are responsible for creating prototypes, designing, and implementing AWS cloud infrastructure solutions, along with third-party solutions for in-house and client support. You will be supporting Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings on cloud platforms. Your expertise will be instrumental in constructing intricate and scalable solutions to align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and prototype API specifications for cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and compliance to enhance the consistency, predictability, and security of cloud platform services
• Provide strategic direction and thought leadership in engineering and architecture for cloud platform solutions
• Collaborate with business-led development teams to comprehend application lifecycle challenges and create automated cloud platform solutions to streamline processes
• Engage in planning and workshops with the cloud platform development team to meet software development expectations and milestones
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of IaaS and PaaS services on various cloud platforms, ensuring the construction of complex solutions adhering to security and compliance controls
• Foster and participate in the DevOps culture, emphasising understanding tools, processes, and mindset, and review and establish appropriate tooling and processes for a stable, automated build/release pipeline
• Serve as a trusted advisor for DevOps initiatives, offering practical and relevant insights, advice, and solutions for automation, tooling, and custom modules, while ensuring project timelines and deliverables are consistently met

To succeed in this AWS Cloud Engineer job, you require five years of work experience in cloud environment and have exposure to building up IaaS/PaaS infrastructure for production environment.

Key Requirements:

• Knowledgeable in utilising monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Honeycomb, Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, and New Relic
• Proficient in cloud infrastructure architecture, accompanied by relevant cloud certifications
• Understands and able to apply Agile development methodology and practices, with a preference for familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Five or more years of skills in using Agile planning tools, including Azure DevOps and Jira. Proficiency in employing continuous integration tools, such as Azure DevOps and Jenkins
• Advanced proficiency in code management tools, including GitHub and BitBucket
• Intermediate proficiency in backend API design and development using OpenAPI Spec, Swagger, C# .NET, and Python
