About the Release Engineer (DevOps/SRE) Role:
Reporting directly to the Lead of DevOps, you will be responsible for developing and upkeeping automation scripts for tasks related to managing infrastructure, tools, deployment, and monitoring. You will also design, create, and manage pipelines for CI/CD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and upkeep automation scripts for tasks related to managing infrastructure, tools, deployment, and monitoring. Design, create, and manage pipelines for CI/CD
• Establish and manage deployment templates and scripts to ensure consistent and repeatable application deployments
• Collaborate across functional teams to quickly address incidents and restore services; perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for incident response
• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, security, and scalability
• Evaluate system capacity and performance needs, implement scalable solutions for future growth
• Install and manage monitoring systems to proactively identify performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and other concerns
• Set up and maintain alert mechanisms, ensuring prompt response to alerts
• Work with infrastructure and security teams to optimise resource management and apply industry-standard security practices

To succeed in this Release Engineer (DevOps/SRE) role, you must have a minimum of five years' experience in roles like site reliability engineering/DevOps/infrastructure engineering.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in fields like Computer Science, Engineering, or Network. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Bash, Python, and Go
• Skilled in configuration management tools like Ansible and Chef. Well-versed in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab, along with version control systems like Git and SVN
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. Cloud certification is advantageous
• Minimum of five years in roles like site reliability engineering/DevOps/infrastructure engineering
• Skilled in containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes
• Knowledge in networking principles and protocols
• Profound understanding of Linux/Unix systems and administration
