An exciting Cloud Security Specialist job has just been made available at one of our long-term fintech clients based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Cloud Security Specialist Role:
Reporting directly to the IT HoD, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of the organisation’s cloud-based infrastructure and applications infra.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the cloud security function and directly report to the Head of IT Security. Devise and implement robust security controls and strategies to safeguard cloud-based assets, spanning data storage, applications, and platforms
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to detect and counter potential security risks and vulnerabilities within cloud environments. Develop and execute cloud-specific security policies and procedures aligned with industry standards and best practices
• Regularly audit cloud systems and applications to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations, utilising CSPM solutions. Evaluate the viability of adopting CNAPP, CWPP, CASB, and related technologies
• Oversee security incidents and promptly respond to breaches or security events occurring within cloud domains. Enhance and manage existing cloud security controls, including WAF, DDoS protection, and more
• Provide comprehensive guidance and training to technical teams, end-users, and stakeholders on optimal cloud security protocols. Streamline and standardise the golden image process across cloud environments
• Remain abreast of emerging cloud security trends, technologies, and threats, offering recommendations to elevate the organisation's security posture

To succeed in this Cloud Security Specialist role, you must have a minimum of five years' hands-on experience in cloud, cybersecurity and/or information security.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Security, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of five years' hands-on experience in cloud, cybersecurity and/or information security
• Competent in using cloud security technologies and tools, encompassing IAM, encryption, firewalls, IDS, WAF, DDoS protection, and more
• Knowledgeable in cloud security frameworks and regulations, including CSA, STAR program, as well as the AWS Well Architected Framework
• Demonstrate a strong comprehension of the significance of the landing zone concept
• Prior practical experience in implementing or administering cloud environments, with expertise in platforms such as AWS and Alibaba Cloud
• Certified candidates is preferred, e.g. CCSP, CISSP, or AWS/Alibaba-related certifications
