Cloud DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

An exciting Cloud DevOps Engineer (Fintech) job has just been made available at a fintech company serving multiple regions. Your main responsibility will be to monitor the well-built DevOps pipeline, embed security controls, and ensure stability of the Azure Cloud Infrastructure that provides great end-user experience.

About the Cloud DevOps Engineer (Fintech) Role:
You will be taking responsibility on implementing DevOps pipelines that covers CI/CD, embedding security controls across the Azure Cloud Infrastructure with various teams to ensure a safe cloud environment across multiple regions. You will troubleshoot infrastructure problems, develop automation scripts, analyse and implement new business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute best practices in DevOps, including CI/CD, automated testing, configuration management, orchestrate deployment via Kubernetes and monitoring of applications and infrastructure
• Develop automation scripts to streamline daily work processes
• Integrate security controls into existing DevOps practices to ensure the cloud infrastructure’s vulnerabilities are patched and protected
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and resolve them with minimal or zero impact/downtime
• Evaluate, conduct Proof of Concepts, and build solutions using new technologies
• Analyse and implement new business requirements and projects

To succeed in this Cloud DevOps Engineer (Fintech) role, you will need to be a high-potential and motivated individual who is independent in managing a secure cloud infrastructure across various regions and automating processes to fully support developers in amplifying their productivity, providing them the best environment to create the best end-user experience for this fintech product.

Key Requirements:

• More than three years of proven experience in cloud-based infrastructure, networking, Linux deployment, hardening, and management
• Proficiency in cloud-based deployments on Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.
• Proficiency in DevOps automation, containerisation, and orchestration tools including Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, ELK stack, Prometheus stack, etc.
• Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Groovy
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bamboo, and with orchestration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Experience with Disaster Recovery or Zero Trust Architecture is a strong advantage
• Strong security awareness and excellent critical thinking
• Resourcefulness and Team Player mindset is a must
