Assistant Manager, Infrastructure (App and Cloud)

An exciting Assistant Manager, Infrastructure (App and Cloud) job has just been made available in the infrastructure team of an insurance market leader in Malaysia. Your main responsibility will be to provide strong infrastructure support for the cloud application team in ensuring a stable, safe and smooth application experience to insurance customers participating in the company’s application.

About the Assistant Manager, Infrastructure (App and Cloud) Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring cloud applications/infrastructure, resolving operational problems related to server and user infrastructure, and providing first-line support for the Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting, maintaining, and monitoring cloud application/infrastructure against SLAs
• Ensuring the cloud application/infrastructure operates within appropriate parameters
• Resolving operational problems related to server and user infrastructure using identification, isolation, and troubleshooting techniques
• Providing first-line support for the Cloud Platform on the service desk and support channels
• Monitoring systems for security events and assisting senior data engineers in resolving security incidents
• Interacting with third-party technology vendors to resolve issues and keeping systems current with changing technologies
• Performing a supporting engineering role in implementing new cloud projects and assisting in deploying data applications
• Ensuring existing guidelines, standards and best practices are followed and applied to development projects and taking ownership for issues to prevent recurrences

To succeed in this Assistant Manager, Infrastructure (App and Cloud) role, you will need to have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to support the Project Team, Cloud Engineers and Data Engineers in ensuring a stable, safe and smooth application experience for end-users.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of five years' relevant IT work experience in roles such as Application Support Analyst, System Administrator, Network Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Engineer
• Strong administration skill in SWIFT Alliance Gateway and Access or Azure Cloud experience is mandatory
• International IT certifications such as Azure Cloud Administration Certificate or SWIFT Alliance Access Administrator Certificate are a strong advantage
• Must have strong application support skills with hands on administration experience on Azure portal
• Experience in Windows/Linux System Administration, Networking, and Firewall and Network Security
• Other desired skills and knowledge include understanding of SWIFT CSCF and familiarity with SWIFT infrastructure, knowledge of financial messages such as ISO20022, MT, MX, and experience on SWIFT upgrade and Cloud platform migration project
