What you'll do:

As an AI Engineer specialising in Gaussian Splatting and hyper-realistic 3D human reconstruction, you will be instrumental in building a revolutionary platform for avatar generation. Your day-to-day work will involve designing sophisticated algorithms for reconstructing lifelike human figures from images, optimising these models for real-time use on various devices, and integrating them into mobile apps and cloud-based services. You will experiment with the latest advancements in AI-driven graphics while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless product delivery. Success in this role means consistently pushing the boundaries of what is possible in digital identity creation—making avatars more realistic, interactive, and accessible than ever before. You will also contribute to research efforts aimed at enhancing texture fidelity, animation smoothness, lighting realism, and overall system performance. By preparing detailed documentation and sharing insights through presentations or publications, you will help drive both internal progress and industry recognition.

  • Develop and optimise models based on Gaussian Splatting to enable efficient 3D reconstruction of scenes and objects for real-world applications.
  • Design algorithms capable of hyper-realistic 3D reconstruction of human bodies and faces from single or multiple photographs using state-of-the-art methods such as NeRF or SMPL.
  • Integrate advanced AI models into mobile applications and cloud services, ensuring seamless user experiences across diverse platforms.
  • Enhance model performance for real-time rendering on GPU/TPU hardware, focusing on speed and accuracy without compromising quality.
  • Conduct robust research into new approaches within Gaussian Splatting, continually improving reconstruction quality including textures, lighting, and animation capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with data scientists, 3D artists, Unity developers, and backend engineers to achieve ambitious project goals.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and publications detailing project outcomes for internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Experiment with voice cloning technologies and connect avatars to leading conversational AI systems such as Gemini or ChatGPT.
  • Ensure avatars are animable and can be placed within complex 3D environments for immersive user experiences.

Your experience spans both academic theory and practical implementation—enabling you to design robust algorithms for complex tasks such as hyper-realistic avatar generation from photographic inputs. You are comfortable navigating large datasets and have honed your skills using industry-standard tools like Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV, and Blender. Your knowledge extends beyond coding: you understand the nuances of machine learning architectures relevant to computer vision challenges. With your upper-intermediate English proficiency you communicate ideas clearly across borders while keeping up-to-date with international research trends. If you have published papers or contributed code to open-source communities your expertise will be especially valued here. Above all else your commitment to knowledge sharing ensures that every project benefits from collective insight—helping shape the future direction of spatial computing together.

  • Higher education qualification in computer science, mathematics or related discipline providing strong theoretical foundations for advanced AI work.
  • At least three years’ experience as an AI developer focused on computer vision and 3D modelling within commercial or research settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Gaussian Splatting including hands-on implementation, optimisation techniques, and successful application in previous projects.
  • Proficiency in hyper-realistic 3D human reconstruction using models such as PIFu, ICON or SMPLify; proven ability to process photos/videos for avatar creation.
  • Advanced programming skills in Python along with experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow for machine learning workflows; familiarity with OpenCV and Blender is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning fundamentals including convolutional neural networks (CNN), generative adversarial networks (GAN), diffusion models and their practical applications.
  • Experience working with large datasets such as Human3.6M or RenderPeople; ability to generate synthetic data sets tailored to specific project needs.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency enabling effective communication within an international team environment as well as reading technical documentation fluently.
  • Bonus: Track record of publishing research at conferences like CVPR or NeurIPS or contributing to open-source projects related to 3D reconstruction.
