What you'll do:

As an AI and Data Enterprise Architect in this influential role based in Kuala Lumpur but impacting operations regionally across ASEAN markets, your day-to-day activities will centre around architecting the future of digital banking. • Define the group’s target state architecture for artificial intelligence across Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, and decisioning systems to ensure alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Establish reference architectures for high-value use cases such as customer service automation, underwriting and credit assessment, fraud detection and financial crime prevention, KYC processes, productivity agents, and developer copilots.
• Guide platform selection decisions across cloud and on-premises environments with a focus on leveraging Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service, Copilot ecosystem tools, Fabric analytics suite, Purview governance solutions, and Responsible AI tooling.
• Lead the adoption of Agentic AI patterns including multi-agent orchestration, autonomous planning capabilities, tool integration for dynamic workflows, long-horizon reasoning strategies, and seamless orchestration frameworks like LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Institutionalise LLMOps/MLOps practices for agent-based systems by implementing lifecycle management protocols, evaluation metrics frameworks, observability dashboards, safety nets for model performance issues, and fallback strategies for operational resilience.
• Standardise orchestration frameworks for Agentic AI plus Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) while ensuring cost efficiency monitoring as well as safety and performance tracking for autonomous systems.
• Embed comprehensive data governance aligned to NIST AI RMF standards as well as ISO/IEC 42001 (AI management systems), ISO/IEC 23894 (AI risk management), MAS TRM guidelines, BNM RMiT regulations, OJK MRTI requirements, PDPA/GDPR compliance mandates, and MAS FEAT principles for responsible finance sector AI.
• Operationalise Microsoft Responsible AI standards by deploying compliance features such as fairness/bias detection tools, interpretability modules within Azure dashboards; govern models through registries tracking lineage information along with approval gates for deployment readiness.
• Publish secure RAG plus Agentic AI patterns that include citation mechanisms for source attribution alongside guardrails like hybrid search freshness controls; implement defence-in-depth strategies covering prompt-injection shielding techniques as well as content filtering protocols.
• Integrate risk management into enterprise frameworks by ensuring thorough Architecture Review Board coverage of autonomy risks in Agentic AI deployments; develop incident response playbooks addressing prompt-injection attacks or rogue agent scenarios while maintaining comprehensive audit trails across multi-cloud environments.

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles within large-scale organisations including at least 5 years applied experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning domains.
• At least 3 years’ hands-on production experience with Generative AI or Large Language Models since their mainstream adoption in 2022—demonstrating practical knowledge of real-world deployment challenges.
• Proven track record designing Agentic AI systems featuring multi-agent orchestration capabilities using platforms such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel alongside Azure AI Studio integration.
• Demonstrated expertise operationalising comprehensive governance frameworks for artificial intelligence aligned to NIST RMF standards as well as ISO/IEC guidelines.
• Extensive experience working within the Microsoft ecosystem—specifically Azure OpenAI Service deployments plus Copilot integration projects; proficiency with Fabric analytics suite and Purview governance tools is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Systems required; additional Microsoft Cloud or Artificial Intelligence certifications are highly advantageous.
• Expert-level understanding of GenAI plus Agentic AI concepts including autonomous reasoning engines or multi-agent planning algorithms; ability to translate technical advances into practical business outcomes is critical.
• Proficiency managing LLMOps/MLOps toolchains such as Azure ML pipelines or MLflow environments; hands-on familiarity with vector databases or evaluation frameworks supporting model lifecycle management is expected.
