Data Engineering and Analytics Lead

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics & Engineering Lead to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead project team members while being responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless data flow across internal and external systems.

What you'll do:

As a Data Analytics & Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading the data team towards achieving common goals. This role consists of 70% technical hands-on data engineering and data visualisation work and 30% of leading Data team and project team members. Your expertise in designing efficient data pipelines will be crucial in handling large datasets from various sources. Your proficiency in Python and SQL will be utilized in automating ETL processes. Your role will also involve defining functional requirements through testing and implementation.

• Lead, mentor, and manage team members, third-party suppliers and project team members.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines for collecting, storing, and processing large datasets from multiple sources.
• Ensure seamless data flow across internal and external systems.
• Utilize scripting languages (Python, SQL) for automating ETL processes.
• Write clear, maintainable code with detailed documentation.
• Ensure databases are secure, high-performing, and highly available.
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders and solution providers.
• Participate in defining, testing, training, implementing functional requirements.
• Manage and coordinate Change Requests or Project Requirements.

What you bring:

As the ideal candidate for the Data Analytics & Engineering Lead role, you bring a wealth of experience in Data Engineering and Data Analytics. Your proficiency in SQL, Python, Power BI and relational databases, coupled with your experience in cloud computing platforms like MS Azure, AWS and GCP sets you apart. You are proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala. Your passion for utilising data for decision-making is evident in your work. You possess a continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical skills. Your willingness to learn new tools as the field evolves shows your adaptability. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to interact effectively at all levels.

• Minimum 5 working experience in data engineering & analytics
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience in cloud computing like MS Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Proficient in Python, SQL and Power BI
• Passionate about utilising data for decision-making.
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools as the field evolves.
