What you'll do:
As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex data engineering solutions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining data pipelines to connect data across various platforms while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards. Your role will also involve supporting the development of continuous integration and deployment practices. You will monitor pipeline performance, conduct complex data quality checks, lead data migration activities, maintain databases using automation tools, implement standard data management practices, design data visuals using visualisation products, and assist in machine learning tasks.
- Design, implement and maintain complex data engineering solutions
- Create and maintain data pipelines across various platforms
- Support the development of continuous integration and deployment practices
- Monitor and optimise pipeline performance and scalability
- Conduct complex data quality checking and remediation activities
- Lead data migration and data conversion activities
- Maintain and optimise databases using automation tools
- Implement standard data management practices based on organisational requirements

What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer role brings a wealth of knowledge in various technology domains including Power BI, Qlik Sense, Azure Data platform and Synapse Analytics. With at least 3 years' experience in operating data platform technology focusing on Data Engineering aspect, you have the ability to understand business problems and identify relevant solutions. Your experience extends to technical requirement analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development and data modelling.
- Knowledge of Power BI, Qlik Sense, Azure Data platform – Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps
- Experience with SQL scripting
- Familiarity with Azure AI and Machine Learning
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in operating data platform technology focusing on Data Engineering aspect
- Ability to understand business problems and identify relevant solutions
- Experience with technical requirement analysis, business process modelling/mapping, methodology development and data modelling
