The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and accurately fulfilling data requests, promoting self-service through automated reports and dashboards, and standardising frequently used reports to enhance operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
As a Senior BI Developer / Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our client's business. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve understanding complex data requests, extracting and summarising required data, and promoting self-service through the development of automated reports and dashboards. You will also be tasked with enhancing operational efficiency by standardising commonly used reports across the organisation. Your commitment to data governance policies will ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for all authorised users. In addition, your collaboration with technology counterparts will be instrumental in building an integrated analytics platform that supports comprehensive data analysis.
- Receive and understand data requests, accurately extract and summarise the required data within the agreed SLA.
- Promote self-service within the company by developing and delivering automated reports and dashboards.
- Enhance data enablement and efficiency by standardising commonly used reports and dashboards.
- Adopt data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for authorised users.
- Collaborate closely with Technology counterparts to build an integrated analytics platform that supports company-wide data analysis and decision-making.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior BI Developer / Data Analyst role brings advanced SQL scripting skills, capable of writing complex DDL and DML queries to implement business logic. You are proficient in using MS Excel and other data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI and have strong analytical abilities that allow you to synthesise complex data into clear, actionable insights. Your proactive nature enables you to identify potential data issues before they escalate into problems. Furthermore, your excellent communication skills allow you to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
