This role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making within the organisation, promoting self-service through automated reports and dashboards, machine learning technologies and enhancing operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Data Scientist, your role will be crucial in driving data-driven decision-making within the organisation. You will be responsible for developing and implementing machine learning technologies and supporting business units in the decision making process with the relevant data. Your ability to build and deliver models using machine learning techniques will be key in addressing identified business gaps. You will also be expected to collaborate closely with stakeholders, ensuring that business requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Build and deliver models using machine learning techniques to cater for identified business gaps.
- Assess problem statements and make high-level suggestions on the best approach to solve business problems.
- Collaborate and establish a close working relationship with stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met
- Continuously seek new innovative ways or new data sources to improve the models/increase business performance.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Senior Data Scientist role will bring a wealth of experience in analytics and/or machine learning projects. They will have knowledge of SQL, Python, R, Spark R or equivalent and BI Tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI is essential. Experience in the telecommunications industry would be an added advantage. The successful candidate will also have good communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science / Actuarial Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Sciences.
- Demonstrable experience working on analytics and/or machine learning projects.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, R, Spark R or equivalent and BI Tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and classifiers.
- Good communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
