Warehouse Manager (FMCG) (Shift hours)

What you'll do:

As Warehouse Manager, you will play an essential role in shaping the day-to-day running of a distribution centre.

• Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including receiving goods, storing inventory, controlling stock levels, and managing dispatch activities across multiple shifts.
• Monitor key performance indicators for the warehouse, preparing detailed reports to support continuous improvement efforts and operational transparency.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review warehouse policies and procedures aimed at enhancing productivity, efficiency, and safety standards throughout the facility.
• Champion continuous improvement projects such as 5S methodology, lean warehousing practices, and automation initiatives to streamline processes.
• Enforce rigorous safety protocols to maintain a healthy work environment that complies with legal requirements and industry best practices.
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse staff as well as contractors, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and collaboratively.
• Lead the training and development of the logistics team so that every member has the skills and knowledge required for success in their roles.
• Identify areas for operational improvement by analysing workflow data and implementing solutions that benefit both staff wellbeing and business outcomes.

What you bring:

To excel as Warehouse Manager, you will bring proven expertise in overseeing complex warehouse environments within the FMCG sector

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations or related field is required for this position.
• More than 5 years’ experience in warehouse operations
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) as well as inventory control systems is necessary; familiarity with SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA would be advantageous.
• Ability to work flexible shift hours including weekends during peak seasons
• Experience or knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and manage diverse teams using supportive leadership techniques is highly valued.
• Excellent organisational skills combined with analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities are crucial for success.
• Strong communication skills are needed for cross-functional coordination within the business environment.
• High attention to detail paired with a commitment to operational excellence ensures quality outcomes.
