Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Route Optimization Manager to oversee and manage their international warehouse distribution centre's transportation operations. * Oversee international transportation operations * Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations * Optimize transport arrangements

What you'll do:

As a Route Optimization Manager (Retail), you will play a crucial role in managing the transportation operations for our client's international warehouse distribution center.

  • Analyse, plan and optimize international transportation routes
  • Ensure compliance with international regulations related to transportation and trade
  • Perform research and analysis to optimize transportation processes
  • Monitor transport costs and identify areas for cost reduction
  • Conduct risk assessment of transport system
  • Provide insights and recommendations to upper management based on data analysis
  • Participate in distributing budgets, maintaining databases, training new workforce members, developing new programs and projects
  • Conduct logistical studies and data analysis evaluations to recommend strategies for future logistic solution

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Route Optimization Manager position brings a wealth of experience in transportation coordination and planning or equivalent experiences in the supply chain industry.

  • At least 7-10 years of experience involving transportation coordination and planning or equivalent experiences in supply chain industry
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Sound knowledge of transport policy and regulatory framework
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as well as manage people; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
