What you'll do:
As a Supply Chain Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the end-to-end sourcing process for new product introductions while ensuring that all material requirements are met efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve analysing material needs, identifying reliable suppliers through diligent market research, and negotiating favourable terms that align with organisational goals. You will work hand-in-hand with R&D and Engineering teams to select appropriate components, drive value engineering initiatives aimed at cost reduction, and manage supplier relationships to maintain high standards of quality. Additionally, you will coordinate complex tasks such as LED crossover requests, gather competitor data sheets for specification reviews, and support supplier qualification processes. - Identify suitable suppliers who can deliver long-term commercial benefits through sustainable partnerships focused on quality and value.
- Investigate potential suppliers by conducting thorough market surveys to secure competitive pricing without compromising on quality standards.
- Deliver insightful market intelligence reports on both new and existing suppliers, commodities, materials, or technologies to inform procurement decisions.
- Collaborate closely with R&D and Engineering teams to develop and select optimal components or material platforms that meet technical requirements.
- Perform value engineering or value analysis on current materials to support annual cost reduction KPIs and localisation initiatives across the supply chain.
- Review contract manufacturer gating lists and provide sourcing as well as price review support for electrical and electronic items supplied to contract manufacturers.
- Coordinate LED crossover requests with existing suppliers by gathering detailed part specifications and pricing information for effective comparison.
- Collect data from suppliers to fulfil end customer requirements during supplier qualification processes for new LED supplier status.
