A leading organisation in the fast moving consumer goods sector is seeking an Assistant Manager Supply Chain to join their team in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Manager Supply Chain, you will be entrusted with overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations that are critical to the company's success.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive inventory plans by analysing forecasts, actual orders, and lead times to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Monitor inventory closely to prevent both overstock situations and shortages, setting clear targets for inventory optimisation based on business needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery
  • Analyse supply chain performance data regularly, identify potential risks or bottlenecks, and prepare detailed reports on key performance indicators for management review.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to align supply chain strategies with broader business goals and ensure seamless cross-departmental cooperation.
  • Utilise ERP systems efficiently for accurate data entry, tracking, and reporting of supply chain activities while leveraging advanced MS Excel skills for analysis.

What you bring:

In the role of Assistant Manager Supply Chain, your proven track record in managing complex supply chains within the FMCG or food sector will set you apart.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in supply planning, inventory management or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) management within the food or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using ERP systems along with advanced computer literacy, particularly strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis purposes.
  • Ability to articulate product features and value propositions clearly when interacting with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with a positive attitude that motivates others around you are highly valued in this environment.
