Are you ready to lead and optimize distribution operations in the fast-paced world of FMCG? We’re seeking a dynamic Distribution Manager to join an organisation in Selangor, where you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless logistics, customer satisfaction, and compliance.
What You’ll Do
As a Distribution Manager, you will oversee the entire distribution lifecycle, ensuring timely deliveries while optimizing costs and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in managing third-party logistics providers, resolving customer inquiries, and streamlining import/export processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Distribution & Logistics Operations: Manage daily operations to ensure efficient delivery schedules, reliability of third-party transporters, and adherence to service-level agreements.
- Customer Service & Issue Resolution: Act as the primary liaison for customer inquiries, addressing logistics challenges such as customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
- Compliance & Regulatory Management: Ensure all activities align with company policies and government regulations, including tax stamp purchases, duty declarations, and freight bookings.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Financial Oversight: Work closely with supply chain teams to optimize inventory turnover, validate vendor invoices, and assist finance teams with payments.
- Warehouse & Space Optimization: Oversee warehouse space management to align with production schedules and budget targets.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Prepare monthly KPI reports and provide operational support during peak periods or team absences.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment like the FMCG industry. Your ability to manage complex logistics operations while fostering collaboration will set you apart.
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A Diploma or Degree in University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Industrial Engineering or similar field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain management within the FMCG sector.
- Strong analytical skills paired with problem-solving capabilities to tackle logistics challenges effectively.
- Experience dealing with Customs regulations is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with SAP systems or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills to collaborate across departments seamlessly.
