What you'll do:
As a Supply Chain Manager (Retail), your role will be pivotal in shaping the company's overall supply chain strategy. You'll be tasked with developing strong relationships with third-party logistics providers, ensuring alignment with company goals. Your keen eye for detail will aid in monitoring performance metrics and KPIs regularly. You'll also oversee operational aspects such as coordinating logistics activities, managing distribution, and troubleshooting shipping-related issues. Your leadership skills will shine as you foster a culture of accountability among team members. Additionally, you'll have direct responsibility over budgeting, cost management, technology integration, risk management, and effective communication across the organisation.
- Develop and nurture relationships with third-party logistics providers and freight forwarders.
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and pricing to optimize cost efficiency and service quality.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Manage logistics and distribution to guarantee timely product deliveries.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization with vendors.
- Guide, mentor, and develop within a results-oriented work environment.
- Develop and manage supply chain budget & costs.
- Leverage technology to optimise the supply chain.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain Manager (Retail) position brings a wealth of experience in full-scope Supply Chain Management. With at least eight years under your belt, you've honed your skills in procurement, shipping, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, e-commerce, and other related fields. Your strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail will be invaluable in this role. You're proficient in ERP and Microsoft Office Suite, and you're comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Your leadership skills are top-notch, and you're ready to guide, mentor, and develop within a results-oriented work environment.
- Bachelor's degree in related discipline.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in full scope of Supply Chain Management.
- Solid understanding of operating processes, business process standardisation, and enabling technologies.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in ERP and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel to local or overseas warehouses when required.
