Procurement Manager (Indirect)

What you'll do:
As a Procurement Manager (Indirect), you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing complex purchases, and enhancing the competencies of your team. You will be responsible for executing the contracting process from development to maintenance. Your excellent communication skills will be crucial in managing inquiries, maintaining user rapport, and keeping all parties informed. You will also be tasked with ensuring a clear audit trail of activities through proper filing and record keeping.
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing and contracting strategies for various spend categories
- Plan and execute various sourcing initiatives/events for materials & services categories including large & complex purchases
- Execute the contracting process, including contract development, contract negotiations and contract maintenance
- Enhance the competencies of Procurement team members and ensure the optimal use of resources
- Identify, adapt and embed Procurement best practices in managing strategic sourcing and contracting activities
- Manage inquiries and user rapport, communicate with various parties involved to keep them informed and updated
- Develop & execute internal & external interdepartmental communication plan and activities
- Ensure a clear audit trail of activities is maintained with proper filing / record keeping
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Procurement Manager (Indirect) position brings a wealth of experience in purchasing within the IT or Engineering industry. With at least 8 years under your belt, you are well-versed in leading teams of buyers towards success. Your strong analytical skills allow you to make data-driven decisions that benefit the company. You are comfortable using ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba or Oracle. Above all else, your interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills set you apart from the rest.
- Degree in Information technology, Supply Chain, Accounting and Finance or Engineering
- At least 8 years' experience in purchasing, preferable with hospitality industry
- Possess good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in leading/supervising buyers
- Hands-on experience in using SAP / Ariba / Oracle or any other ERP system
- Strong analytical skill
