Key Account Officer (Shipping/Johor)

Our client is seeking a Key Account Officer to join their team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a crucial link between customers, the sales team, and various cross-functional departments on operational matters. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely support across a portfolio of customers.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Officer, your main responsibility will be to provide support to the Key Account Manager in implementing regional strategies. You will cooperate with all departments to ensure optimal customer service and meet the assigned KPIs. Your role will involve following up promptly on new business deals, contract fulfilment, forecast and budget. You will also conduct analysis and generate business reports as required. Additionally, you will assist with processing tender, price quotes and rate negotiations for assigned Key Accounts. Lastly, you will promote group services such as VAS, X- sell activities to assigned Global Accounts.

The ideal candidate for the Key Account Officer role should possess good interpersonal and communication skills along with an analytical mindset. You should have the ability to adhere to tight schedules and demonstrate a high degree of initiative and adaptability. Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite i.e., PowerPoint and Excel is essential for this role. Furthermore, you should be able to travel when required.
