What you'll do:

As a Production Planner, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the day-to-day flow of production schedules, material replenishments, and inventory management.

• Ensure efficient and effective production planning and scheduling processes are maintained to support continuous manufacturing operations.
• Oversee direct materials replenishment activities to guarantee uninterrupted production runs and timely availability of resources.
• Manage finished goods replenishment for export, trading, and in-house SKUs to meet ongoing sales demand across various regions.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels for both finished goods and materials by establishing robust classification systems and cost controls.
• Lead the production planning and materials procurement team with a focus on accuracy, reliability, and interdepartmental cooperation.
• Develop products and materials classification (ABC) strategies to optimise inventory holding costs without compromising customer service levels.
• Manage imported goods inventory and safety stock at optimum cost while supporting monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.

What you bring:

Your background as a Production Planner will demonstrate your commitment to collaborative teamwork within fast-moving supply chain environments.

• Degree in Business or Engineering with at least three years of proven experience in planning or purchasing functions within a supply chain environment.
• Alternatively, a diploma with at least eight years of relevant experience in planning or purchasing roles is highly valued.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP), Material Resource Planning (MRP), and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) methodologies.
• Advanced skills in production and inventory management practices tailored to large-scale operations.
• Comprehensive understanding of HACCP principles as well as ISO 9000 requirements for quality management systems.
• Hands-on experience with BPCS software for accurate data entry, system maintenance, and stock purchase material management.
• Ability to lead teams collaboratively while fostering an inclusive atmosphere that encourages knowledge sharing among colleagues.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with sales teams and internal customers across multiple countries.
