What you'll do:
As Planning Deputy Manager, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the end-to-end supply chain and production planning functions within the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently and customer expectations are consistently met. You will take ownership of developing systems that streamline operations, introduce automation where possible, and maintain high standards of inventory management. - Oversee all aspects of supply chain planning, production scheduling, inventory control, shipping, and logistics to ensure smooth operations across the business.
- Establish robust systems such as Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Just-In-Time (JIT), Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Lean Six Sigma (LSS), and other methodologies to drive efficiency throughout the supply chain.
- Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to coordinate order fulfilment activities, focusing on improving On-Time In-Full (OTIF) performance metrics.
- Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and action plans aimed at standardising processes while benchmarking against industry best practices for continuous improvement.
- Design and implement dynamic replenishment models that balance cost-effectiveness, quality standards, lead times, and optimal inventory levels.
- Manage inventories of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products by monitoring stock levels and ensuring timely clearance of slow-moving items.
- Identify opportunities for automating manual tasks through digitisation initiatives and software solutions that enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster positive team dynamics while supporting individual development goals aligned with departmental KPIs.

- Comprehensive understanding of operations management principles including inventory control, logistics coordination, and process optimisation.
- Experience developing or implementing SOPs that align with industry best practices for standardisation across multiple functions.
- Ability to design replenishment models that effectively balance cost considerations with quality assurance and lead time requirements.
- Track record of successfully managing inventories at various stages—raw materials through to finished goods—and resolving issues related to slow-moving stock.
- Familiarity with digitisation strategies including identifying automation opportunities through software implementation or process redesign.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience mentoring or coaching teams towards achieving collective goals.
