An exciting opportunity awaits in Petaling Jaya for an Assistant Manager Vendor Management, where your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of vendor relationships and sourcing governance within a rapidly expanding health technology and analytics organisation. This role is designed for those who thrive on collaboration, meticulous process oversight, and meaningful cross-functional engagement.

What you'll do:

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve supporting the implementation of sourcing governance across the organisation, ensuring every activity aligns with established policies and standards.

  • Act as a key administrator for the Source-to-Contract (S2C) digital tool by conducting regular data quality checks, providing user support, reinforcing workflow discipline, and driving adoption improvements.
  • Maintain and update sourcing governance materials such as guidelines, templates, playbooks, and reference documents to ensure consistency across all processes.
  • Develop user-friendly enablement assets including quick guides, onboarding materials, and refresher content to enhance process adherence and reduce recurring issues.
  • Assist with internal and external audit activities by collecting evidence, performing compliance checks, tracking exceptions, and following up on remediation actions.
  • Identify process bottlenecks or recurring issues by collaborating with stakeholders to implement practical improvements that are sustainable over time.
  • Maintain the vendor performance management framework by consolidating data for defined KPIs, preparing scorecards, and establishing regular reporting cadences.
  • Prepare monthly or quarterly vendor performance reviews for key suppliers by assembling performance packs, setting agendas, documenting action logs, and facilitating discussions.
  • Validate and analyse performance data to highlight trends, risks or gaps in vendor performance that require attention or corrective action.
  • Track corrective actions and follow-up items with clear ownership assignments and timelines while supporting communications between vendors and internal stakeholders.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for Assistant Manager, Vendor Management brings substantial experience from roles focused on vendor management or procurement governance, particularly those involving S2C/S2P processes or supplier performance frameworks.

  • 5–9 years of experience in vendor management or sourcing/procurement governance roles involving S2C/S2P processes or supplier performance management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with procurement systems or S2C tools such as Ariba, Coupa, SAP, Oracle,etc which enables efficient administration of digital workflows.
  • A strong understanding of KPI frameworks coupled with experience in scorecard reporting and structured vendor review cycles within large organisations.
  • Proven track record working in environments requiring strict governance discipline including audit readiness and thorough documentation practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Finance, Analytics or other relevant fields which supports analytical thinking.
  • Clear grasp of compliant processes combined with an ability to maintain accurate documentation requirements across multiple functions.
  • Exceptional detail orientation demonstrated through consistent data accuracy checks and resolution of inconsistencies at their root cause.
  • Analytical capability allowing translation of complex data sets into actionable insights for decision-making during reviews or audits.
  • Effective stakeholder communication skills enabling guidance of teams towards process standards while managing conversations with vendors constructively.
  • Structured execution abilities reflected in ownership of reporting cycles as well as diligent follow-through on corrective actions.
