What you'll do:

- Develop and refine the overall procurement strategy and policy by collaborating closely with senior management to ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
- Maintain comprehensive market intelligence to guarantee that all procurement activities deliver optimal value and adhere to industry standards.
- Oversee the entire procurement department by optimising organisational structures, recruiting new talent, providing guidance, and facilitating ongoing training for team members.
- Support colleagues during sensitive or complex negotiations, ensuring that framework agreements are monitored effectively and outcomes are beneficial for the organisation.
- Lead purchasing projects by forecasting demand for goods and services, tracking progress against milestones, and implementing robust processes and tools for project delivery.
- Monitor supplier performance through detailed specifications, clear key performance indicators, regular reporting on costs and budgets, and proactive issue resolution.
- Research sourcing options continuously to identify products and services that offer the best value without compromising quality or compliance.
- Manage end-to-end tender processes efficiently, including preparing documentation, evaluating bids, and securing Board of Directors approval as required.
- Drive change management initiatives within the procurement function by updating policies, procedures, and systems to reflect evolving organisational needs.
