What you'll do:

As a Global Category Strategy Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the future of the organisation’s procurement landscape.

• Develop and implement both global and regional third-party sourcing strategies that support long-term business goals and foster sustainable supplier relationships.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine, evaluate and optimise current supplier network
• Drive supplier capability-building programmes that encourage positive relationships, operational excellence, and compliance with capacity and quality standards.
• Establish robust supplier performance frameworks to monitor contributions, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies for supply continuity.
• Deliver annual cost savings targets by executing sourcing initiatives, leveraging market intelligence, data analytics, and benchmarking to prioritise high-impact opportunities.
• Implement procurement best practices across the function to ensure efficiency, compliance with policies, and achievement of key performance metrics (KPIs).

What you bring:

To excel as a Global Category Strategy Manager, you will bring substantial experience in strategic sourcing or procurement leadership roles within large-scale organisations.

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, or procurement leadership within a complex multinational environment is essential for excelling in this role.
• Demonstrated analytical skills combined with strong negotiation abilities are required for effective contract management and decision-making.
• Expertise in conducting make versus buy analysis as well as managing supplier risk assessments is highly valued.
• Experience in developing supplier capabilities through structured programmes aimed at enhancing operational excellence is important.
• A track record of delivering measurable annual cost savings by optimising supplier networks is expected.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for building positive relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external partners across different regions.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams towards shared goals while fostering collaboration is crucial for success.
