A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an Assistant Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll do:

As an Assistant Procurement Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing the entire procurement lifecycle from contract management through to operational delivery.

  • Maintain a centralised contract repository and monitor contract approval processes, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date for governance and audit purposes.
  • Support contract creation, review, execution, and version control in alignment with company policies while facilitating approvals through e-signature platforms.
  • Manage end-to-end eRFX activities including RFQ, RFP, and RFI events via e-sourcing platforms by configuring system templates and coordinating specifications with stakeholders.
  • Monitor eRFX progress by responding to supplier queries promptly and validating responses for bid tabulation during evaluation phases
  • Oversee day-to-day procurement operations by collaborating closely with Procurement Managers/SMEs
  • Deliver service performance reports regularly by measuring SLAs, conducting service calls with stakeholders, and ensuring KPIs are consistently met at both team and individual levels.
  • Address disputes from stakeholders by escalating system-related issues appropriately while attending audit requests and highlighting policy breaches for corrective action.

What you bring:

To excel as an Assistant Procurement Manager – Financial Services you will bring a wealth of experience gained from working within procurement functions at large organisations or shared service centres.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing or equivalent qualification is required for this role.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in procurement or sourcing within a financial services or shared services environment is essential.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Source-To-Pay tools including e-RFx management and eAuction platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa or Oracle is highly desirable.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suites are necessary for reporting analytics and documentation tasks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of procurement policies coupled with practical knowledge of Procure-To-Pay solutions is expected.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities for managing complex documentation requirements.
