Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager (Pharmaceutical)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager to join their expanding team. What you'll do:

As an Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager, your role will be pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies that align with business goals. You will take the lead on strategic sourcing initiatives, including managing tenders and complex offer evaluations. Your proactive approach will enable you to identify opportunities for cost optimization, quality improvement, and risk mitigation. A key part of your role will be cultivating strategic supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs. You will also oversee the end-to-end procurement process ensuring efficiency and compliance.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive country procurement strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including tenders and complex offer evaluation.
• Implement category procurement strategies for demand consolidation and standardization.
• Proactively identify cost optimization, quality improvement, and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Cultivate strategic supplier relationships.
• Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee the end-to-end procurement process for efficiency and compliance.
• Identify and propose improvements to systems and processes.
• Lead system implementations.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager position brings at least 5 years of indirect procurement experience. You have a full range of procurement experience which enables you to understand all aspects of the role. Your background in healthcare, pharmaceutical or FMCG industry gives you an edge as it provides you with industry-specific knowledge that can be applied to this role. Your ability to negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and SLAs will be crucial in this role.

• At least 5 years of indirect procurement experience is required.
• Full fledge of procurement experience is essential.
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical or FMCG industry is highly preferred.
