Head of Procurement - IT Category (Fintech)
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Procurement for their IT category within the Fintech sector. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with the company's key divisions.

What you'll do:
As the Head of Procurement - IT category (Fintech), you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategic procurement initiatives that align with the company's objectives. Your role will involve identifying cost-saving opportunities, building strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, leading a team, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, improving processes, and reporting on performance. Your leadership skills, combined with your strategic thinking, will drive success in this role.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in procurement processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure advantageous agreements.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with group policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement performance to the executive team.
What you bring:
As an ideal candidate for the Head of Procurement - IT category (Fintech), you bring a wealth of experience from your previous senior procurement roles. You have a proven track record of successful negotiations resulting in significant cost savings. Your strong leadership skills have been honed over at least 10 years in leadership positions. You are well-versed in leveraging technology for contracting and procurement systems. Your excellent negotiation skills are matched by your ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Your analytical and strategic thinking abilities are underpinned by your in-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Bachelor in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, at least 10 years in a leadership position.
- Track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
- Working knowledge leveraging technology, Contracting and Procurement systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Analytical and strategic thinking. In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
