HEAD OF PROCUREMENT
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Procurement to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in managing the procurement processes and contract management for the company.

What you'll do:
As the Head of Procurement, you will be at the forefront of developing strategic procurement management plans that align with the company's objectives. You will have the opportunity to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards. Your role will involve establishing strong relationships with key suppliers while negotiating favourable contracts. You will also be responsible for resolving any supplier-related issues promptly
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives and financial goals.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimise procurement processes.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to secure favourable pricing and service levels.
- Resolve supplier issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.
- Draft, review, and execute contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on predefined metrics such as quality, delivery, and reliability.
- Develop procurement budgets and forecasts in collaboration with finance teams.
- Monitor spending against budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives where necessary.

You possess a strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and supply chain management principles. Your excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills will be crucial in establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers. Your analytical mindset will enable you to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field
- Proven experience in procurement, contract management and vendor negotiations
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices, contract law and supply chain management principles
- Excellent negotiations, communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficiency in contract drafting and review
- Familiarity with SAP MM module
