Our client in electronics manufacturing industry is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Purchasing Executive to join their team. What you'll do:
As a Purchasing Executive, your primary role will be to manage the purchase of direct materials for production builds. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating for better pricing, and ensuring that the raw materials inventory aligns with the company's objectives. Your role will also involve working closely with the Quality department to conduct necessary supplier audits. Additionally, you will assist in sourcing and purchasing indirect materials as needed, as well as handling freight forwarding arrangements for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Manage purchase of direct material for production build
- Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships
- Negotiate with suppliers for better pricing and total cost of ownership
- Ensure raw materials inventory meets company objectives
- Work with Quality department to perform necessary supplier audits
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing of indirect materials when needed
- Handle freight forwarding arrangement for incoming & outgoing shipments
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Executive role will bring a wealth of knowledge in supply chain and inventory management systems. They will possess strong sourcing and negotiation skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities. Their strategic thinking and leadership qualities will enable them to excel in this role. A willingness to work odd hours when necessary is also required. Familiarity with ERP systems would be advantageous.
