Procurement Manager (Medical - Raw Material & Packaging)
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager with a focus on Medical Raw Material and Packaging. What you'll do:
As a Procurement Manager (Medical - Raw Material & Packaging), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's procurement strategy. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading the preparation of competitive bids, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost/process improvement projects. You'll also be tasked with maintaining a comprehensive database of suppliers, materials, specifications, and prices. A key part of your role will be establishing a robust monitoring system to assess supplier performance regularly. You'll also participate in internal self-inspection programs and external supplier audits.
- Lead the preparation and solicitation of competitive bids, quotations, and proposals for raw material, packaging materials, and other assigned materials/services.
- Evaluate competitive offerings balancing between price, quality, and service.
- Prepare and issue contracts for review and approval.
- Manage database of Suppliers, Materials, specifications, and prices.
- Establish and maintain a routine monitoring and feedback system to monitor supplier performance.
- Participate actively in internal self-inspection programs and external supplier audits.
- Champion process improvements, recommending new ways of working to improve processes.
- Identify risks in current procurement processes and procedures; escalate business risks to proper level of management.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Procurement Manager (Medical - Raw Material & Packaging), you bring a wealth of experience in supplier management, procurement, supply planning.
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or any related fields.
- At least 5 years’ related working experience in supplier management, procurement, supply planning.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes (tendering, supplier negotiations and management) and sourcing of manufacturing materials and services.
- Good knowledge of local sources of supply and suppliers preferably for pharmaceutical and/or healthcare manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, draw conclusions, summarize, articulate, and present complex information.
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills (verbal and written) resulting in relationship building and development.
