Procurement Specialist (IT)

What you'll do:
As a Procurement Specialist (IT), you will be at the forefront of our client's operations. Your primary responsibility will be to source new suppliers, ensuring that all purchased products meet specific technical specifications. You will negotiate purchase terms, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure timely deliveries. In addition, you will develop efficient procurement strategies and support senior management in implementing these strategies. Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will be vital in this role, as well as your ability to think analytically.
- Sourcing new suppliers while ensuring that purchased products meet specific technical specifications
- Negotiating purchase terms and evaluating supplier performance
- Ensuring timely deliveries and resolving any supply issues or discrepancies
- Developing efficient procurement strategies and solutions
- Supporting senior management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Utilising excellent communication and negotiation skills to achieve best outcomes
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Procurement Specialist (IT) position brings a wealth of experience in procurement roles, particularly within the IT sector. With over 5 years of experience under your belt, you have developed a deep understanding of the telecommunication and data center industries. Your knowledge extends across supply chain management, logistics, distributions, legal aspects, and commercial considerations. You have proven contract management skills with experience developing relevant legal contractual terms. Additionally, your proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems will be highly beneficial.
- 5+ years of experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Experience in procuring Information Technology industry related products and services relevant to Telecommunication and Data Center
- Exposure and experience in managing data centers and cloud business is preferred
- Knowledge in Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse Management, Logistics, Distributions, Legal, and commercial
- Contract management skills with proven experience in developing relevant legal contractual terms and conditions
- Experience in design and management of eRFx/eAuction events in multiple subcategories
