What you'll do:
As a Manager of Purchasing, you will be at the core of our operations. Your role will involve supervising all aspects of our client's Purchasing Department functions. You will be responsible for devising procurement strategies that align with our client's company's goals while overseeing the entire purchasing process. This includes sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, evaluating supplier performance, identifying potential suppliers, conducting audits, establishing robust relationships with suppliers, monitoring market trends, collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of purchasing activities into business operations. You will also be tasked with implementing purchasing policies and instigating continuous improvement initiatives.

- Devise and execute procurement strategies that are in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Identify and assess potential suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and establish robust relationships to ensure reliable and cost-effective supply chains.
- Monitor market trends, competitor strategies, and industry developments to anticipate potential supply disruptions and opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and finance, to ensure seamless integration of purchasing activities with business operations.
- Implement and maintain purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Instigate continuous improvement initiatives to optimise purchasing processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and company policies.
- Supervise the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations and requirements.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manager of Purchasing position brings a wealth of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management. With your Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field, you have spent at least 10 years honing your skills in this area. Your robust negotiation and contract management skills will be crucial in overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process. Your comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor materials, components, equipment and manufacturing processes will be invaluable in identifying potential suppliers and conducting audits. Your excellent communication skills and leadership abilities will enable you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management.
- At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Robust negotiation and contract management skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of semiconductor materials, components, equipment and manufacturing processes.
