Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager for their Procurement division. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with the company's key objectives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising costs, improving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality for procured goods and services.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Manager in Procurement, you will be at the forefront of developing strategic procurement plans that align with the company's objectives. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, implement best practices in procurement processes, build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, lead your team towards achieving departmental goals, ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, analyse supplier performance for cost optimisation, and continuously work towards improving procurement processes.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the company's objectives.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices in procurement processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure advantageous agreements.
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier performance to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Senior Manager in Procurement role, you bring a wealth of experience from your previous leadership positions. Your educational background in Business or Supply Chain Management coupled with your certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management sets you apart. You have a proven track record of successful negotiations leading to significant cost savings. Your strong leadership skills are evident in your ability to manage teams effectively. You possess excellent negotiation skills which you leverage to secure advantageous agreements. Your deep understanding of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices ensures that you always operate within legal boundaries.
- Bachelor in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior procurement role, at least 10 years in a leadership position.
- Track record of successful negotiations and cost savings.
- Working knowledge leveraging technology, Contracting and Procurement systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement laws, regulations, and best practices.
