A professional service company is seeking a seasoned Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager. In this job, you will be in charge of the company’s sourcing activities for its indirect category needs ranging from facility management, IT, travel and professional services.
About the Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager Role: In this position, you will be in-charge of carrying out supplier sourcing, price negotiating, cost comparison, vendor management and internal stakeholder management. You will also be tasked to manage cost saving initiatives to ensure the cost effectiveness of purchased services and to ensure the availability of alternate suppliers
Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate and contract suppliers based on the company’s indirect procurement needs
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand product/service level specifications
Maintain and drive the accurate tracking of savings and benefits gained from business partners
Identify and improve procurement policies and tools
Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships to create commercial advantages for the company
Develop and implement most suitable supply solution for all indirect services and materials
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost reduction and supplier performance
Conduct presentations to internal stakeholders on products/services received by vendors, receive performance feedback and improvement plans
To succeed in this Indirect Procurement Assistant Manager role, you will need to have strong communications skills as well as be independently driven to be able to drive problem solving and process enhancement initiatives
Key Requirements:
Degree qualification in supply chain management, business or any related field
Over five years of work experience in indirect materials and services
Proven track record of knowledge and success in sourcing and negotiations
Fluent in Microsoft Office tools especially in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentation purposes
Possess strong influencing and presentation skills to upper management
A self-starter, meticulous and has a critical thinking mindset
