A well-known conglomerate is recruiting for a Contract and Procurement Manager job to drive cost reduction and improved contract negotiation initiatives as well as to collaborate with other business stakeholders with project claims and resourcing requirements in interior fit out scopes
About the Contract and Procurement Manager Role: In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement activities such as sourcing, contract and price negotiations, manage vendors as well as ensuring strict compliance to the company’s strict compliance to company guidelines. You will also collaborate with other internal stakeholders to monitoring active projects and tracking status of work as well as proactively foreseeing potential obstacles.
Responsible for being the gate-keeper in verifying and managing project claims and expenses of all suppliers, consultants and contractors
Responsible to be the main driver of sourcing and vendor development activities for multiple procurement projects
Responsible for being a main driver in cost savings and cost reduction initiatives through contract accuracy and contract negotiations
Responsible for developing and implement dual sourcing activities to ensure alternative suppliers and get lowest market price and best service quality
Responsible in analysing the technology business requirements against the supplier capability
Responsible for identifying opportunities to leverage on commercial knowledge to navigate and manage supplier relationships and contracts
Responsible for providing accurate forecasting and reporting of procurement financial metrics including productivity and inflation
Responsible for ensuring progress claims, certs and invoice issued to third parties are completed in a timely manner
Responsible in being aligned with the current market and driving sourcing and contract management initiatives to achieve the company’s long term goals
To succeed in this Contract and Procurement Manager role, you will need to have a strong character and hands on procurement and contract management experience within the construction or equivalent industry.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or any related field
More than five years' working experience in a contract management role, specialising in interior fit out works
Strong understanding of contract administration matters with exposure to contracts legal requirements
Good knowledge in SAP and MS Office tools
Ability to work independently and under time constraints
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
