A precision machine manufacturing company is seeking a Procurement Manager. In this job, you will manage its procurement activities to streamline its processes and liaise with internal stakeholders to drive cost saving initiatives and meet stringent client deadlines.

About the Procurement Manager Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement activities such as planning and purchasing of raw materials as well as driving cost saving initiatives in order to ensure smooth supply of materials from supplier to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare material requisition, purchase orders and other related procurement documents
• Develop and implement dual sourcing activities to ensure alternative suppliers
• Drive vendor selection and cost management by negotiating contracts and implementing cost saving strategies
• Monitor raw material prices and ensuring that long-term agreements are in place for each vendor to further drive cost savings
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery schedules
• Be responsible for supplier management, negotiation, and performance
• Maintain and update procurement records in ERP systems as well as physical files
• Develop annual procurement budgets based on forecasts and historical procurement trends and tracking of expenditure

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess good leadership skills and strong hands-on knowledge in procurement activities to ensure that all procurement activities are in line with the company’s goals.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in manufacturing, business administration or any related field
• Over five years of work experience in a procurement function in the manufacturing industry
• Able to use Microsoft Office
• Fluent written and spoken English language
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently whilst still being a team player
