About the Head of Purchasing (F&B) Role:
Functionally and administratively reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires you to execute and manage the end-to-end procurement process ensuring the smooth operation of the outlets through effective procurement strategies, supplier management, and process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the procurement team, ensuring the successful execution of end-to-end procurement activities including food ingredients, raw materials, kitchen utensils, machinery, and logistics arrangements
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure the availability of high-quality supplies while optimising costs
• Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and value
• Drive vendor negotiations to achieve cost reductions in both food and manpower expenses
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient communication and process standardisation
• Draft and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to govern procurement processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards
• Leverage your deep understanding of on-ground processes to guide the procurement team in adopting a strategic mindset, thereby elevating the team's capabilities
• Demonstrate a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic plans for process improvement within the procurement department
• Exhibit strong leadership skills in mentoring and managing a team of five to eight individuals, fostering their growth and development
• Make informed and well-justified decisions that align with the company's goals and values
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiencies across the entire supply chain
• Regularly report to senior management on procurement performance, cost savings, and process enhancements

To succeed in this Head of Purchasing (F&B) role, you will need to have a minimum of seven years of F&B procurement experience in achieving cost savings, improving overall efficiency, and enhancing the quality of procurement strategies.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
• A minimum of seven years of experience in procurement within the F&B industry, with a substantial portion of that time in leadership roles
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier assessment, and vendor negotiations
• Familiarity with food procurement regulations and industry trends
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in drafting and implementing SOPs for process governance and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration
• Track record of successfully implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software
• A strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals
