What you'll do:

As a Retail Allocator based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence within the merchandising department. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around managing inventory allocation across various channels, ensuring that products are always available at the right place and time. You will collaborate extensively with logistics, operations, marketing, visual merchandising, and product teams to facilitate seamless product launches and efficient stock management. By preparing accurate sales data reports and participating in regular store meetings, you will help shape business decisions that enhance overall performance. Your involvement in stock takes twice yearly will further support robust inventory control processes. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and an ability to work harmoniously within a dynamic team environment.

  • Monitor inventory levels across all retail channels, providing detailed reporting and proactive follow-up to ensure optimal stock availability.
  • Allocate inventory from warehouse to stores and e-commerce platforms, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in every transfer.
  • Consolidate inventory frequently when products run low, coordinating ad-hoc requests such as customer-driven transfers between locations.
  • Ensure timely product launches by aligning merchandise plans with marketing launch schedules, collaborating closely with operations and logistics teams.
  • Coordinate with sales operations and visual merchandising teams to communicate product launch plans effectively.
  • Assist the marketing team in allocating seeding stocks for promotional activities, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives.
  • Liaise regularly with product and logistics teams to monitor new item arrivals, updating arrival dates and launch timelines for each season.
  • Manage system-based transfers upon product arrival, handling regional inventory arrangements as needed for efficient distribution.
  • Prepare raw sales data weekly for submission to regional teams, supporting subsidiary sales business planning under the guidance of the Merchandising Manager.
  • Participate actively in weekly retail store meetings and conduct frequent store visits to gain insights from store team members on business performance.
