Supply Chain Project Manager (FMCG)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Project Manager to join a leading multinational organisation in the Klang Valley. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on delivering impactful supply chain projects, enjoys collaborating with diverse teams, and is passionate about using data to drive business improvements. With a hybrid working model and excellent accessibility via public transport, this position offers both flexibility and convenience.
What you'll do:
As a Supply Chain Project Manager based in Klang Valley, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of the organisation’s supply chain operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve orchestrating multiple improvement projects from conception through to delivery—ensuring each initiative aligns with broader business goals. You will harness your expertise in Power BI to turn raw data into actionable insights that guide decision-making across departments. By fostering close collaboration between manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and sales teams, you will help drive operational excellence throughout the entire value chain. Your ability to manage complex projects—balancing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder interests—will be key to your success. Additionally, you will champion change management efforts by ensuring new systems and processes are adopted smoothly across the organisation. Your analytical skills will also be called upon to support leadership with strategic planning activities that shape long-term supply chain strategies.
- Lead and deliver multiple end-to-end supply chain improvement projects such as network optimisation, planning process redesign, system roll-outs, and KPI enhancement initiatives.
- Extract, transform, and visualise complex datasets using Power BI to create insightful dashboards and reports that empower stakeholders to monitor performance effectively and respond promptly.
- Take full ownership of project timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables while managing stakeholder expectations at all levels to ensure alignment with overarching business objectives.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and root causes within supply chain processes—including demand-supply mismatches, distribution inefficiencies, and inventory variances—and spearhead the implementation of robust solutions.
- Collaborate closely with teams across manufacturing sites, warehouses, transportation networks, and sales functions to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
- Drive change management efforts by communicating project status updates clearly, providing user training sessions, and embedding new processes and tools into daily operational routines.
- Support senior leadership with strategic analyses by conducting scenario modelling and developing compelling business cases that inform future supply chain capabilities.
What you bring:
To excel as a Supply Chain Project Manager in this organisation, you will bring proven experience from similar roles within supply chain or logistics environments—ideally gained in FMCG or related industries. Your background should demonstrate not only technical proficiency but also a genuine passion for using data-driven approaches to solve operational challenges. You will have honed your ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels—from frontline staff through to senior executives—ensuring everyone remains informed and engaged throughout each project lifecycle. Your collaborative approach will enable you to build strong relationships across departments while maintaining focus on shared objectives. Adaptability is crucial; you should feel comfortable navigating changing priorities while remaining committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. A solid educational foundation combined with hands-on experience using Power BI will set you apart as someone who can bridge the gap between technical analysis and practical implementation.
- A minimum of five years’ experience in supply chain management, operations or logistics roles—preferably within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food & beverage sectors.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering end-to-end projects involving stakeholder engagement and effective change management practices.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI for data modelling, dashboard creation, and visualisation is essential for this role.
- A strong analytical mindset that enables you to translate complex data sets into clear insights and actionable recommendations for business improvement.
- Excellent communication skills that allow you to explain intricate issues simply while building consensus across diverse teams.
- The ability to work dependably both independently and collaboratively within an evolving environment where ambiguity may arise.
- A degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics or an equivalent discipline is required.
- Willingness to be based in Klang Valley with reliable access to public transport options such as LRT/MRT/train or willingness to commute accordingly.
