Logistics Operations Manager (Freight Forwarding) Our client is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to oversee their freight forwarding operations in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. This role offers the opportunity to manage not only the Malaysian operations but also the Singaporean office, making it an exciting and dynamic position for those with experience in both markets.

What you'll do:

As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing our client's freight forwarding operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing both ocean and air freight operations, coordinating with various stakeholders to enhance service levels, and leading the operations team towards achieving operational excellence

• Manage and optimise daily freight forwarding operations, including ocean and air freight
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and local customs requirements
• Coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams to enhance service levels and efficiency
• Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a high-performance culture
• Work closely with regional offices to align operational strategies and goals

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Logistics Operations Manager role brings a wealth of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia’s shipping regulations and customs procedures
• Experience managing Singapore operations is a plus
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in CargoWise
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
