Supply Chain Operations Analyst (retail)
This newly created Supply Chain Operations Analyst position offers you the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the supply chain landscape for both Malaysia and Singapore. As part of a rapidly expanding team, you will be at the heart of operations, ensuring stock accuracy, streamlining inventory processes, and driving insightful reporting that supports business growth.
What you'll do:
- Monitor inventory levels across Malaysia and Singapore, ensuring accurate stock records and timely updates to support business needs.
- Consolidate past sales data versus forecasts to inform operational planning and support decision-making processes.
- Apply advanced Excel skills such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data consolidation techniques to streamline reporting processes.
- Extract and analyse data from SAP ByDesign while managing datasets from multiple non-integrated systems including ERP, WMS, and Excel spreadsheets.
- Collaborate daily with third-party logistics providers for both Malaysian and Singaporean operations, conducting occasional warehouse visits as required.
- Execute monthly cycle counts, annual stock takes, and part audits to maintain high standards of inventory integrity.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound flows with third-party logistics partners and warehouse teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Validate stock transactions, investigate discrepancies, and uphold data accuracy through Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Produce regular reports on inventory status, consumption patterns, and stock health to provide actionable insights for replenishment strategies.
- Analyse SKU trends including slow movers and ageing stock to optimise inventory management and reduce obsolescence risks.
What you bring:
- 4–6 years’ proven experience in supply chain management or related fields such as operations or logistics within product-based environments like retail or FMCG.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP functions, data analysis techniques, and consolidation methods for effective reporting.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP/WMS platforms; experience with SAP ByDesign is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Comfortable working in operational settings including warehouse environments; able to conduct physical audits when necessary.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities for structured execution of tasks.
- Backgrounds from consumer goods or household appliances sectors are welcomed; openness to candidates from other product-focused industries is encouraged.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams such as Sales, Finance, Inventory Executives, and Customer Care staff.
- Experience coordinating daily operations with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) across multiple locations is advantageous.
- Ability to manage datasets from various non-integrated systems (ERP + WMS + Excel) while maintaining data integrity throughout processes.
- A responsive attitude towards supporting process improvements led by management; willingness to contribute ideas for scalable solutions.
