Supply Planner (FMCG)

About the Role:

A leading global FMCG is seeking a Supply Planner to join their thriving team in Selangor. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to play a pivotal role in optimising supply chain operations, ensuring seamless production schedules, and supporting the delivery of high-quality products across the Asia-Pacific region

What you'll do:

As a Supply Planner, you will be instrumental in shaping the efficiency of the entire supply chain operation.

  • Leverage commercial depletion demand signals, on-hand inventory data, and inventory targets to develop and execute comprehensive network supply plans within SAP that align with financial goals, operational capabilities, and service objectives including On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery.
  • Ensure system-generated planned orders are accurately aligned with production requirements by converting them into process orders within the detailed production scheduling horizon.
  • Oversee the management of aging finished goods as part of the inventory control tower process by partnering with commercial teams, demand planning experts, and senior supply chain stakeholders to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
  • Analyse Make-To-Order (MTO) and Assemble-To-Order (ATO) demand versus Make-To-Stock (MTS) demand within the master production schedule to ensure balanced and achievable plans that support business objectives.
  • Assist the broader Supply Chain team with capacity planning activities, future availability assessments, and labour planning as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Support Production Planning by adjusting near-term schedules to prioritise Made-To-Order customers while optimising Made-To-Stock production in response to short-term demand fluctuations.

What you bring:

To excel as a Supply Planner in this organisation, you will bring proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain processes within large-scale or multinational environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a supply chain or planning-related role
  • Previous exposure to the FMCG (Food & Beverage) industry is preferred
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems—particularly SAP—for demand planning and supply management
  • Advanced Excel skills are necessary for data analysis; familiarity with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions
  • Strong analytical skills are needed for interpreting complex data sets related to inventory control towers, MTO/ATO/MTS demands, and key performance indicators.
  • Excellent communication abilities are required for presenting exception-based reports and actionable recommendations clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives within dynamic environments will help you thrive in this fast-evolving sector.
