A rapidly growing logistics company is seeking a high-calibre Business Development Manager to provide logistics solutions to expand their customer base and to identify requirements of potential clients to assess support feasibility.
About the Business Development Manager Role: In this role, you will be responsible for taking lead in providing direction to the company’s customer expansion basis and to attract new customers and business opportunities. You will also play a role in ensuring that the operations for the new customers are set-up as per required.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop potential growth projects to increase the company’s revenue stream as well as to expand the company’s market share
Develop and implement goals and plans for business and revenue growth in line with the company’s expectations
Research, plan and implement new target market initiatives
Pursue leads and convert them into full time clients
Understand potential market requirements and providing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
Source quality and competitive prices in all matters related to asset purchase when catering to new client requirements
Develop new customers and vendors to balance the company’s costs and revenues in line with the sales targets set
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong communication skills and hands-on approach in business development to convert potential leads into long term clients and increase the company’s market share within the logistics space.
Key Requirements:
Degree in commerce or any relevant industry
A minimum of five years of work experience in a field sales role within the logistics industry
Strong proficiency in MS office, inventory and CRM software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently whilst still being a team player
