About the Territory Account Manager Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for selling software solutions (generating both license and service revenue) either directly to customers, through consultancy selling (face-to-face contact) or via channel partners.
- Apply a consultative solution selling approach to grow and develop the company's business in an assigned territory or account base
- Sell the company's entire solutions portfolio in your assigned territory
- Meet new account sales quotas for products and services by closing recognisable contracts
- Develop sales plans, strategies, and final presentations designed to enhance revenue growth and meet customers' needs
- Travel throughout your assigned territory to call on existing and prospective customers to identify opportunities and solicit orders
- Analyse customers' needs and recommend solution that best meets the customers' requirements
- Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgement
- Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Remain knowledgeable of organisation's products/services to facilitate sales efforts
- At least eight years of prior industry experience selling software based solutions into a specified territory
- At least half a million dollars worth of deals closed
- Excellent relationship-building and convincing skills (C-Level presenter)
- Excellent presentation skills and interaction with internal/external customers
- Business value-based sales approach
- Successful track record of exceeding multimillion dollar sales targets
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quotas
- Experience developing and presenting clear and concise sales briefings/meetings
- Team player and able to take direction from sales management
- Excellent understanding of your industry’s customers’ business, needs, challenges and expectations
- Demonstrated understanding of market disciplines, competitive landscape and current technologies
- Shows personal commitment, strong leadership skills and experienced in working in a collaborative environment
- Target and success oriented
- Ability to carry out detailed ROI analyses
