Aftersales Manager

Save job

A leading automotive group in Perak is seeking an Aftersales Manager to oversee and elevate their aftersales operations.

This is a unique opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact by driving customer satisfaction, optimising workshop performance, and nurturing a collaborative team culture. The organisation is renowned for its commitment to excellence, offering a supportive environment where your interpersonal skills and passion for continuous improvement will be highly valued. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, and fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. If you are looking for a position that combines responsibility, growth, and the chance to shape the future of aftersales services, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

What you'll do:

As an Aftersales Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing every aspect of the aftersales function within a well-established automotive group. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve monitoring operational workflows, ensuring adherence to both manufacturer guidelines and internal policies, and driving improvements in workshop productivity. You will work closely with various departments to guarantee seamless service delivery while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of everything you do. By addressing challenges proactively—whether related to spare parts logistics or customer feedback—you will help maintain high standards across all touchpoints. Your ability to motivate your team, identify training needs, and foster interdepartmental cooperation will be crucial in creating an environment where everyone thrives. Success in this role means not only achieving financial objectives but also building lasting relationships with customers and partners through empathy, responsiveness, and dedication.

  • Oversee the daily aftersales operations to ensure all staff adhere strictly to manufacturer procedures and internal standards, maintaining high levels of compliance and operational excellence.
  • Monitor workshop processes closely, proactively identifying areas for improvement and ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly to meet audit requirements.
  • Supervise spare parts management by tracking supply rates, minimising obsolete or non-moving stock, and ensuring timely availability of parts for workshop needs.
  • Track throughput and aftersales revenue on a daily basis, taking necessary steps to achieve financial targets while maintaining service quality.
  • Ensure all company policies are consistently followed by staff members, initiating corrective measures as needed to uphold organisational standards.
  • Foster strong business relationships with vehicle manufacturers through regular communication and effective coordination on technical matters.
  • Promote seamless collaboration between departments such as finance, sales, and human resources to support smooth aftersales operations.
  • Address customer complaints or disputes promptly by exploring amicable solutions and escalating issues when appropriate to higher management.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth by engaging with fleet or corporate customers, implementing strategies to retain existing clients and win back lost customers.
  • Assess training needs within the team regularly and coordinate relevant learning initiatives to boost operational efficiency and maintain high morale.

What you bring:

In this Aftersales Manager position, your background in managing complex aftersales environments will enable you to excel from day one. Your hands-on experience with workshop processes ensures you can quickly identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies while remaining sensitive to the needs of both customers and colleagues. Your collaborative nature allows you to build bridges between departments—facilitating smooth communication that benefits everyone involved. You bring not only technical know-how but also emotional intelligence; your ability to listen actively helps resolve disputes amicably while reinforcing trust among clients. Your commitment extends beyond immediate tasks: you are always looking for ways to nurture talent within your team through targeted training initiatives. With commercial acumen guiding your decisions, you understand how each action contributes to larger organisational goals. Above all else, your warmth and dependability inspire those around you—creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels supported.

  • Demonstrated experience managing aftersales operations within the automotives sector or a similar industry where process adherence is critical.
  • Proven track record in monitoring workshop performance metrics and implementing process improvements that enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of spare parts logistics including inventory control, supply chain coordination, and minimisation of obsolete stock.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to resolve customer concerns sensitively while maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments such as finance, sales, HR, ensuring alignment towards common goals.
  • Experience in identifying staff training needs and organising relevant development programmes that contribute to overall team capability.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies through consistent monitoring and proactive corrective action when required.
  • Capacity for commercial awareness with an understanding of how aftersales activities impact broader business objectives.
  • Empathy-driven approach that prioritises customer satisfaction alongside operational outcomes.
