Our client is seeking a Visual Merchandiser with a flair for fashion and apparel. The successful candidate will have the chance to liaise with various stakeholders, from landlords and developers to store managers and finance departments. With responsibilities ranging from updating licenses and tenancy agreements to attending corporate events.
What you'll do:
As a Visual Merchandiser in the fashion and apparel industry, your role will be diverse and engaging. You'll be responsible for maintaining important documents such as licenses and tenancy agreements while also communicating effectively with various departments within the company. Your negotiation skills will be put to use as you handle rental and tenancy terms. Additionally, you'll represent the company at store openings, corporate events, and meetings with key stakeholders. Ensuring that store openings run smoothly will also fall under your remit.
- Maintain and update licenses, tenancy agreements, insurance and related matters
- Liaise with solicitors, local councils, and store managers for all documentation-related matters
- Communicate with finance department for billing issues, payments or other related inquiries
- Negotiate rental and tenancy terms for the company
- Attend store opening activities, mall-related corporate events, activities and appointments
- Build mature relationships with landlords, developers, landowners, investors, bankers as a key representative of the company
- Ensure store openings are on schedule by liaising with internal and external parties
- Observe all internal and external SOPs and policies
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Visual Merchandiser role will bring a wealth of experience from the retail management space. You'll have a degree in a relevant field such as retail/property management or real estate. Your background should include exposure to retail leasing, strategic expansion, and store development. A wide network of contacts among developers, landlords, and retail property owners will be beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential along with strong organisational skills. A good understanding of laws related to the retail fashion industry is also required. The role may require travel within the country and overseas.
- Degree in retail/property management, real estate or business equivalent field
- At least 3 years of experience within the retail management space
- Experience in retail leasing, strategic expansion, store development
- Wide network with developers, landlords, retail property owners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organisational skills
- Good understanding of laws, rules and regulations related to retail fashion industry
- Ability to travel within the country and overseas if required
