A company is seeking for a dynamic and strategic Sales Manager to join the team in Malaysia.

About the Sales Manager (Automotive) Role:

Reporting to the Dealer Principal, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of the sales department, overseeing the attainment of forecasted sales targets, and ensuring adherence to company and branch policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set and oversee sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for both new and pre-owned vehicles, including trade-in targets, for Sales Consultants, regularly reviewing their performance
  • Ensure accuracy in Monthly Delivery Forecasting of new and pre-owned cars, contributing to achieving optimal results
  • Manage Showroom Roster to maintain adequate Sales and Reception staff availability
  • Monitor Showroom traffic and enquiries, maximizing all potential sales opportunities
  • Consistently ensure the thorough use of the sales CRM system to manage every aspect of customer / lead interaction and data, including accurate assignment of marketing campaigns for lead generation, alongside strategic planning that covers the entirety of the customer journey
  • Monitor trade-in targets, performance, data accuracy, stock inventory, and ensure seamless customer journeys adhering to Dealer Sales Processes
  • Develop effective strategies to expedite the sale and delivery of aging new and pre-owned dealership assigned car inventory, optimizing methods to reduce the turnaround time and enhance the efficiency of selling older stock
  • Oversee the payment and loan approval process for each customer, ensuring prompt registration and delivery of vehicles to minimize stock holding and aging
  • Provide guidance to Sales Consultants in line with company’s strategies
  • Ensures the sales team remains consistently motivated and maintains disciplined by enforcing compliance with the sales uniform policy, punctuality, and achieving exceptional results in mystery shopping evaluations

To succeed in this Sales Manager role, you must have prior sales management experience within the automotive industry.

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant sales operations experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Experience in managing a team will be an added advantage
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and other local languages
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
