As Senior Trading Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a central role in shaping the region’s physical commodity trading landscape. - Guide, mentor, and manage a regional trading team by setting clear accountability for both individual and collective trading profitability through supportive leadership.
- Oversee regional trading P&L performance including margin delivery, portfolio optimisation, and variance analysis against targets to ensure dependable outcomes.
- Establish trading priorities, focus markets, and opportunity thresholds aligned with business strategy and organisational risk appetite for optimal results.
- Review, challenge, and approve key trading deals to guarantee disciplined execution and risk-adjusted value creation at the team level.
- Define and implement regional physical trading strategies for base oils (Group I, II, III) in harmony with global direction while nurturing communal success.
- Participate actively in spot, tactical, and arbitrage trades by maintaining strong pricing discipline and structuring deals that benefit the wider network.
- Optimise trades for netback, landed cost, logistics efficiency, and inventory impact by collaborating closely with supply chain partners.
- Drive consistent post-trade performance reviews to embed lessons learned and promote continuous improvement throughout the trading team.
- Lead the development of regional pricing frameworks informed by competitive intelligence and market fundamentals to enhance market positioning.
- Guide the identification and execution of interregional and intraregional arbitrage opportunities considering freight, storage, timing economics, and communal benefits.

- Formal training in commodity trading or commercial optimisation is highly desirable for effective strategy execution.
