What you'll do:


As an E-commerce Manager in this forward-thinking organisation based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with shaping the entire digital commerce landscape for the Malaysian market. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating the execution of a robust e-commerce roadmap that covers both owned channels and prominent third-party platforms. You will lead a diverse team whose expertise spans operations management, creative content development, data-driven decision-making, and seamless fulfilment integration. By setting clear revenue goals and KPIs in line with regional ambitions—and ensuring these are met through effective collaboration—you will play a central role in driving business success. Your ability to oversee sophisticated digital marketing campaigns will be crucial in attracting new customers while retaining existing ones through engaging storytelling across all digital channels. In addition to managing platform operations at a granular level—from product listings to customer service—you will also champion best practices that enhance conversion rates and elevate the user journey. Regularly analysing key performance metrics will enable you to present valuable insights to leadership teams while continuously refining strategies for optimal results. * Build, nurture, and inspire a high-performing team covering all aspects of e-commerce operations including marketing, creative content production, analytics, and fulfilment integration.
* Set ambitious yet achievable revenue targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with broader regional objectives while ensuring marketing investments deliver measurable returns.
* Collaborate extensively with headquarters and regional partners on pricing strategies, product assortment planning, and unified brand positioning initiatives.
* Oversee all aspects of digital marketing including paid media campaigns, SEO/SEM efforts, retargeting strategies, influencer partnerships, affiliate marketing programmes, and always-on campaign management.
* Work hand-in-hand with the marketing team to ensure consistent storytelling and cohesive branding across every digital touchpoint.
* Manage daily operational activities across multiple online platforms by optimising product listings, setting up campaigns, synchronising prices and inventory levels, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
* Establish best practices for content optimisation and conversion improvement while coordinating logistics and after-sales processes with relevant teams.
* Monitor critical performance metrics such as traffic volumes, conversion rates (CVR), average order value (AOV), return on ad spend (ROAS), and repeat purchase rates; conduct regular reviews to identify areas for further optimisation.
* Present actionable insights derived from data analytics to senior management while recommending strategic adjustments based on market trends.


What you bring:


To excel as an E-commerce Manager within this innovative technology company’s Malaysian division, you should bring substantial hands-on experience in managing complex e-commerce ecosystems—ideally spanning both proprietary sites and leading marketplace platforms. Your academic background should include a degree in Marketing or Business-related fields complemented by at least eight years’ industry experience where you have demonstrated your capacity for strategic thinking as well as operational excellence. Having led multidisciplinary teams before will allow you to foster an inclusive culture built on trust and shared goals. Your technical proficiency with analytics tools ensures you can interpret data accurately while making informed recommendations that drive continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills are vital as you’ll be working closely with colleagues from various departments—marketing specialists through to logistics coordinators—to deliver unified brand experiences. Experience designing CRM initiatives or loyalty programmes adds further value by supporting long-term customer engagement strategies. Above all else, your enthusiasm for consumer technology or educational products will help you connect authentically with target audiences while contributing positively towards organisational objectives.


* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce or a related discipline is required for this position.
* At least eight years’ proven experience within e-commerce or digital business management roles is essential; three years must include direct team leadership responsibilities.
* Demonstrated success managing major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop or Shopify is highly desirable.
* Advanced analytical skills with hands-on familiarity using tools like Google Analytics or Data Studio are necessary for monitoring performance metrics effectively.
* Exceptional communication abilities are needed to foster strong cross-departmental relationships within both local teams and regional counterparts.
* Experience developing CRM strategies—including email marketing campaigns—and implementing customer segmentation techniques is advantageous.
* A passion for consumer technology products or children’s educational/lifestyle goods would be considered beneficial but not mandatory.
* Proven track record of collaborating with supply chain partners to ensure smooth fulfilment processes enhances your suitability for this role.
